Paiutes approve liquor

According to a press release from the Paiute Palace Casino and Chairman Dale “Chad” Delgado, Jr. the Bishop Paiute Tribe announced that after a majority vote, the tribal community has elected to approve the sale and service of alcohol at the Paiute Palace Casino.

“We look at this as a step forward for the Bishop Paiute Tribe and the Bishop Community,” the release said. “We look ahead to a new and exciting future in gaming and entertainment for the Owens Valley area.”

According to Marketing Manager Tim McGlynn, the Bishop Paiutes had been one of just a handful of tribes in the entire state with gaming casinos that did not serve alcohol.
