Bridgeport Main Street design
The Bridgeport Valley Regional Planning Advisory Committee (RPAC) invites the Bridgeport community to share ideas about the future of Main Street, through a series of interactive workshops to achieve goals such as traffic calming on U.S. 395, enhancing historic character and fostering economic vitality.
On Thursday, Aug. 23, from 7-9 p.m., the opening workshop will cover Community Values and Priorities. On Saturday, Aug. 25, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., a Walkability Audit and Design will be the focus. And a presentation of a Vision Plan will be the topic of the Tuesday, Aug. 28, workshop from 7-9 p.m. A design team including nationally-known walkability expert Dan Burden and the Local Government Commission will visit the community to conduct the workshops that will lead to development of a final plan.
Project made possible via a California Department of Transportation Community Planning Grant. All workshops will be held in the Bridgeport Memorial Hall, adjacent to the Courthouse building. For more info or if you have questions, call Wendy Sugimura with Mono County, 760.924.1814.
