Local bullying movie to debut

The public is invited to the premiere of “Which Team Will You Choose?”on Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Edison Theatre, 100 College Parkway, across from Cerro Coso College in Mammoth Lakes.

The 45-minute original movie is produced and directed by Dee DiGioia, who hopes it will “become a memorable and powerful visual tool to empower elementary school children in helping to break the cycle of bullying.” There will be two show times: 4-5 and 5-6 p.m.

“There is no better education than to teach children to be kind, have compassion and do no harm. It is the responsibility of every adult to ensure that every child learns these qualities,” she said. The movie inspired by Helen Keller’s quote, “I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything I will not refuse to do the something that I can do.”

The movie was not given permission to be shown at Mammoth Elementary School. If you cannot attend and/or would like it shown to your organization, and/or would like to order a copy, contact Dee at starfishdee@gmail.com. More info on her antibullying program is also online at www.caringandcourageouskids.com.
