Joaquin Agiar, Jr.
A vehicle driving in an erratic manner caught the eye of Mono County Sheriff’s Department Deputies on Feb. 16. The deputies stopped the vehicle sometime around 8 a.m. and made contact with the individuals inside, identified as Joaquin Agiar, Jr., age 21, of Perris, Calif. and Brandi Adame, age 34, of Lemon Grove, Calif.
Upon contact, it as determined that Agiar, Jr. was on felony probation out of San Diego for the transportation of a controlled substance. A search of the vehicle yielded a pink plastic make-up bag containing numerous items used for ingesting illegal narcotics. The bag was in Adame’s purse. Upon further search of the vehicle, a brown plastic grocery bag containing about nine ounces of methamphetamine was found concealed inside the engine air filter compartment. Agiar, Jr. and Adame were arrested and booked in the Mono County Jail where they are currently in custody for the transportation of a controlled substance. -MCSD/LAK
