A five-week trial in the matter of People v. Harris came to a conclusion Friday afternoon in Mono County Superior Court when a verdict was returned by the jury. Early reports indicate the defendant, Michael Harris, was apparently convicted on 18 felony counts of lewd or lascivious act on a child under 14 years of age and one count of forcible rape of a child under the age of 14. The jury also reportedly upheld a “multiple victim” allegation. Sentencing has been scheduled for Jan. 22, at 10 a.m.
