In the race for Mammoth Lakes’ Town Council, incumbent John Eastman has stated he will run again. Former Council members Tony Barrett and Rick Wood plan to run, and newcomer to the political race, but not to town, Matthew Lehman announced that he plans to run as well. Council’s two other incumbents, Neil McCarroll and Wendy Sugimura have both stated they will not run again.
An election for Mono County Superior Court Judge will also be on the June ballot. Two candidates, Mark Magit and Randy Gephardt have announced that they plan to run, but other candidates are expected to throw their hats in the ring as well.
