Ice rink closes today

According to the Town’s Community Relations Manager Stuart Brown, the Mammoth Ice Rink has succumbed to a burst pipe and will close today, March 5, slightly more than one week before its scheduled closing date of March 14.

“The Mammoth Ice Rink will close today, March 5 for the season,” Brown stated in his weekly Stu’s News report. “Due to mechanical issues, and associated safety concerns, the decision was made to close the ice rink prior to the March 14, 2010 scheduled date. We hope you enjoyed your skating experience and we look forward to seeing you at the Whitmore Pool on Saturday, June 19, 2010 for the summer opening!”
