MLTPA NEEDS VOLUNTEERS
Mammoth Lakes Trails and Public Access recently contracted with Mono County to put together an inventory of points that access outdoor-recreation activities and amenities countywide, similar to what it did for the Town of Mammoth Lakes in 2006. This project is called the Mono County Recreation Access Tool, or MCRAT for short, and they need volunteer help!
Identify recreation access points in Mono County. MLTPA will give you all the tools you need for the job. Work from home -— no field verification needed! — and you’ll have a week from the date you get your kit.
If you’re interested and available, contact Megan Mahaffey, MLTPA Operations Director, at 760.934.3154 or meganmahaffey@mltpa.org.
CHAMBER VOTER FORUM
The Mammoth Lakes Chamber of Commerce plans to host two candidate forums during the coming weeks … one for the Town of Mammoth Lakes Town Council Candidates and another for Mono County candidates for County Supervisor, Superior Court Judge and Sheriff/Coroner.
Both forums will be held at 5 p.m. in the Town of Mammoth Lakes Suite Z chambers, televised live on NPG Cable channel 51, and will include questions posed from previous submissions, as well as from live phone-in calls and from the audience.
The Town Council Forum will be held in the Town of Mammoth Lakes, Suite Z chambers on Tuesday, April 27. The Mono County Forum will be held on Tuesday, May 11.
Tom Cage will moderate.
