Dittli on display
Local photographer, John Dittli will launch “Artists, Scholars, Writers – A Lecture Series” at Bishop’s Cerro Coso College campus on Monday, Feb. 7, at 5:30 p.m. Dittli will present a unique video/audio show of his work, featuring High Sierra landscapes from the book “Walk the Sky,” which he co-authored with Mark Schlenz, as well as recent flora and remote wilderness photographs.
Dittli has been hiking and photographing the West for most of his life, and has lectured about wilderness experience and shown his work in many states through the Forest Service and other state, federal and private organizations. His video show will be followed by a question-answer discussion. The event is free and open to the public.
A reception in honor of Dittli, hosted by Cerro Coso’s library, will follow. His photos are currently on library walls, but on Feb. 7 more of his work will be available for viewing. Copies of “Walk the Sky” will also be on hand. Purchase the book and take advantage of the opportunity to have Dittli sign it.
