MHS Senior Dinner fundraiser
Mammoth High School Senior Class is currently selling tickets for this fall’s Senior Dinners fundraiser program, to be held at Shogun Oct. 17-20.
Dinners are $25 per person and include your chocie of Beef or Chicken Teriyaki, Calamari and Chicken Katsu combo, Tempura and Salmon combo or Sushi combo.

MLPD police reserve program
The Mammoth Lakes Police Department is reactivating its Police Reserve Officer Program. Police Reserve Officers supplement the full time officers, and can serve on a variety of assignments, including patrol and wildlife management.
Police Chief Dan Watson has been working with Cerro Coso College to institute a Reserve Academy at the Bishop or Mammoth Lakes campus. Meanwhile, the Mammoth Lakes Police Department is looking for retired police officers who live in the general area who might be interested in joining the MLPD as a Reserve Officer.

Chevron hosts Husky teams
Support your sports teams and help out Huskies football by buying gas on Friday, Sept. 30, at Chevron. Tom Cage and the Chevron crew will donate 10 cents a gallon of every gallon sold.
Don’t forget to gather all your friends and co-workers to come out to the game Friday night, as the Mammoth Huskies play their first home game of the season. The Huskies will be out to break the Broncos Friday night! JV at 4 p.m., Varsity 7 p.m.
Also, Saturday and Sunday, the Cheer, Snow Sports, Tennis, Cross Country, Basketball and Girls Soccer teams will hold a car wash from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. also at Chevron.
Bid Adieu to this season’s flu
Flu vaccine is now recommended for everyone over the age of six months. FluMist nasal spray is available for healthy 2-18 year olds.
Pneumococcal vaccine will be available. Cost: free with Medicare Part B card; otherwise $66. Cost for Flu vaccine: $10 for adults, $2 for children (6 months to age 18, and free with Medicare Part “B.” Children may also receive flu vaccine at school clinics this fall.
