Middle school students from Bridgeport, Coleville and Lee Vining spent part of their Saturday, Jan. 28, answering questions like these during the 2012 MathCounts “Winter-Warm-Ups” event.
The students who participated this year were:
Bridgeport: Sydney Beard, Riley Beck, Sawyer Beck, Ezra Klitsie, Courtney Knight, Aiden Little, Amber Little, Emma Lowery, Pawahnee Minder, Destiny Reese, TJ Shaw, Abby Wicker.
Coleville: Michael Hanson, Zane Hoagland, Alexis MacKenzie, Jhona Sarmientolouttit, Lance Warner.
Lee Vining: Yessenia Amezcua, Berlin Garcia, Jacob Hart.
Antelope Elementary School placed 1st overall, Lee Vining Elementary placed 2nd, and Bridgeport Elementary placed 3rd.
The three top individual high scorers were: 1st place—Jhona Sarmientolouttit from Coleville, 2nd place—Jacob Hart from Lee Vining and 3rd place—Alexis MacKenzie from Coleville.
