Mammoth View receives more time

At Wednesday’s Planning Commission meeting, Commissioners unanimously approved a six-year time extension request for Mammoth View’s vesting tentative tract map, use permit, and design review. Instead of expiring in 2013, the project approval issued by the Commission on Aug. 10, 2011 will be valid until 2019. The proponent had requested the extension in an effort to cope with the uncertain economy. They wanted greater assurance that the permits would not expire before construction could actually begin, according to Community Development Director Mark Wardlaw. To Wardlaw’s knowledge, the Town has never denied a time extension request on a project.
