Discuss unmet transit needs
Mono County invites the public to provide input on unmet transit needs for the elderly, disabled and persons of limited means, as well as general transit needs for all residents. Eastern Sierra Transit Authority (ESTA) and County staff will be visiting all the RPACs within the next month to hear comments and suggestions, which will be forwarded to the Local Transportation Commission (LTC) and Social Services Transportation Advisory Council (SSTAC) for their consideration.
Please attend any of the following RPAC outreach meetings to provide input:
Wheeler Crest: Feb. 29 at 6 p.m.
Antelope Valley: March 1 at 7 p.m.
June Lake: March 6 at 7 p.m.
Mono Basin: March 14 at 6:30 p.m.
Bridgeport: March 15 at 7 p.m.
Long Valley: March 28 at 6:30 p.m.
In addition, the LTC and SSTAC will be hosting a public hearing (see attached flyers) to receive any further input on April 9 at 9 a.m. in the Mammoth Lakes Town/County Conference Room (437 Old Mammoth Road, Suite P).
Another input alternative is to call or email the following staff contacts:
Wendy Sugimura, 760.924.1814, wsugimura@mono.ca.gov
For Spanish speakers: Cedar Barager, 760.924.1805, cbarager@mono.ca.gov
With financial challenges again this year, the County will have to look for creative and efficient ways to meet the needs of Mono County’s transit-dependent population.
If you need special assistance to attend any of these meetings, please contact the Mono County Community Development Department at 760.924.1800 within 48 hours prior to the meeting in order to ensure accessibility. –Press Release
