Mammoth Mountain 2012 opening day

The lifts started cranking this morning for a crowd of diehard ski and snowboard enthusiasts as Mammoth Mountain celebrated its 2012 opening day. Even as the winds howled, those in attendance cheered on the first chair of the season. A storm is predicted this weekend and many hope it will bring some additional snow to Mammoth’s slopes.
