New board members for ESUSD

  • by Sheet Staff

On Dec. 19, the newly-elected members of the Eastern Sierra Unified School District Board were sworn in.

At this meeting John Peters was elected board president, Jimmy Little was elected Vice President, and Melinda Melendrez was elected clerk.

Melendrez took the Tri-Valley seat back in May following the resignation of Eastern Sierra Unified School District Board member Matthew Baumann. Baumann’s term did not expire until 2014, but according to ESUSD Executive Secretary Ashley Custer, a formal vote on the seat was part of this November’s school board elections, which also included the Bridgeport and Lee Vining seats won by Little and Peters.
