Mammoth Lakes Police Chief Dan Watson (left) honored Community Service Officer Kari Orr for her 10 years of service, and Sergeant Marc Moscowitz for his 20 years of service during Town Council’s meeting Wednesday evening. Watson lauded both officers for their outstanding devotion to duty and their impressive resumes.

Also last week it was determined that in addition to an expected Town surplus, $300,000 in Mammoth Lakes Police Department savings, are being recommended to be retained to enhance staffing with an entry-level officer. MLPD Chief Dan Watson said he feels “a little bit better” and called the news a “first step on the road to recovery.’”
