At approximately 1:20 p.m. Sunday, April 7 a minor female skier riding Schoolyard Express (Chair 17) with her parent fell out of the chairlift between lift towers.

Mammoth Mountain Ski Patrol arrived on-scene and the patient was transferred to Mammoth Hospital for care. After evaluation, the patient was flown to a hospital in Los Angeles and has since been released from medical care. She is expected to make a full recovery.
