Softball tourney winners

Mammoth Lakes hometown team PCI (Presson Construction, Inc.) took the win for the first time in three years at the 14th annual Summer Softball Coed Tournament at Shady Rest Park, held the week of July 27-28. The Coed tournament experienced some challenges with smoke and rain on Saturday, but the games were back on track by Sunday morning. PCI, sponsored by Robbie Presson of Presson Construction, dominated the competition, winning all but one game and beating Poles-N-Holes Highland in the Championship.

“It was great,” said Presson; “we had a really good time. We have a strong, deep roster, with really strong girls, which makes the difference. It was pretty fun to get a victory.”

The 2013 Coed Tournament had 7 Coed teams in attendance, with players from places like Minden, Las Vegas, Santa Maria, Victorville, Ridgecrest, San Diego, Tehachapi, Bakersfield, Highland, and Castaic.
