John Mueller, owner of the Outlaw Saloon and John’s Pizza Works, bought the Saloon/Pizza Works building in 1992 and has been operating the business for 21 years.
A business in high demand, Outlaw Saloon is expanding its bar area into the former Dollar Store. Approximately 1,200 square feet of saloon is being added as we speak. With an added thirteen feet of bar seating, a pool table and shuffle board, the pizza capital of the “ghetto” (Mazanita, Mono, Lupin, Joaquin Streets) is about to become a even more happening place. The new space also includes a handicap bathroom.
Lisa Mueller said, “Popular with the locals and visitors alike, we have got a lot of great feedback about our food and how comfortable it is to sit down and have a slice. The expansion is a much needed entity, it allows more space for people to enjoy their time here. Our goal is to have a positive and friendly mountain atmosphere, and to give you another great experience in our little town.”
The expansion will have the same western bar feel with an additional 5 TV’s. Sports packages will still be available (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL) for viewing.
“Dec. 15 is the tentative opening date,” Mueller said, but if everything keeps going as well as it is they may be able to open the week of Thanksgiving. “Great friendships have put this place together,” Mueller added.
John’s Pizza Works/Outlaw Saloon is open from 12-12 and has happy hours all day Monday and whenever there is a NFL game. MLB Playoff Specials as well.
