Husky Pup Fun Run is huge success

The Husky Pup Fun Run was a huge success this year.

The Husky Pup Fun Run, this year held on Oct. 4, is undoubtedly the most successful special event in town. It is organized by the Mammoth Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization and doesn’t involve a PR firm, a production company, band contracts, or a ticket agents. Rather, it involves over 600 students between the ages of 4 and 10 years old, over 30 teachers and staff, and more than 50 volunteers and parents.

Students ran laps around the school’s field – some ran for 10 minutes, some ran for 45 minutes – all to raise much-needed funds for after school programs, art supplies, field trips, classroom materials, library books, and technological upgrades.

Over $29,000 was raised this year – the most ever in the 25-year history of the Fun Run!

The MESPTO wishes to thank all students for their spirit and hard work in running and raising funds. It also would like to acknowledge the parents, friends, and teachers who contribute to the Elementary School’s largest fundraiser. And of course the over 60 local sponsors who were also very generous with their time and/or donations:
