Huskies fall to Silver Valley, 27-3

The Mammoth High School Huskies football team has had a hard time on the road in the second half of the season, and last Friday, Nov. 8 was no different. The loss to Silver Valley meant the end of the season for a proud Huskies football team that came a long way this season and almost made it to the CIF playoffs.

The Huskies end the season with a 5 and 5 record overall and a 3-4 DML record. The Huskies had some of the Desert Mountain Leagues top performers this season.

Matt Graef is the DML’s leading tackler with 149 stops, other Huskies in the top 20 were #4 Alex Mueller. Mueller was also 2nd in pass receptions with #9 Logan DeAngeles, #12 Pedro Garcia, #13 Steven Orrick and #18 Austin Van Winkle.

Ricky Cuellar led the DML at the end with 7 interceptions. Ricky also was 2nd in PATs going 22 for 28 attempts.

Steven Orrick was 2nd in total return yards with 243.

In the rushing department Dennis Orrick end up 7th with 757 yards followed by brother Steven who carried fro 617 yards.

Huskies QB Lucas Underkoffler was 2nd in the DML passing for 1,063 yards.
