Jack Lunch's thoughts.

The Andrea Lawrence book sale generated $3,600 via the sale of some 400 titles …

Staff office wisecracks regarding the Town restructuring story on page six focused on Holler’s suggestion that the Town Manager’s position get a further salary reduction. Not angling for that permanent position, eh Dan? The other suggestion we got a kick out of was stealing money from code enforcement to pay an economic consultant. So much for watching the receivables.

Council did decide to refrain from hiring a consultant to conduct a search for a permanent Town Manager. Sounds like they’re stalling as much as possible to get the best read on Holler – my guess is that they’ll do no search and eventually just promote him – and maybe by that time, we’ll have bargained him down to $27,000 a year and a framed photograph of Marianna’s Porsche.

Late breaking news … there was a MONET arrest of Mammoth Lakes resident Jose Priciliano Perez Torres, 32, on Wednesday. Torres was arrested for dealing meth.
