Letters to Santa

The Sheet, in partnership with The Booky Joint, offered four $25 gift certificates to the Booky Joint this year for those who submitted their letters to Santa (we promise the letters have been since forwarded to the North Pole). This year’s winners are: Cassidy Moyer, for her creativity and humor; Ricky Lucero Castelan for his Jurassic request; Sebastian Lopez for his empathy and his appreciation of Santa’s fashion sense; Kimberly Gutierrez for her honesty; and a 5th wildcard winner is Forest Daniels for sheer energy.
To Santa:

Dear Santa:
I am writing this letter to tell you what I would like for Christmas but first let me tell you about me. Well I hope I have been a good girl this year. I am 11 years old. I have a wonderful Mom, Dad and brother. I love to read My favorite author is Louis Sachar. I also like school. We have a dog, two cats, a snake and a lot of chickens. Now I would like to let you know what I would like for Christmas. Well, the biggest thing I would like is a snowboard because i just learned to snowboard last year. It was fun. The second thing I would like is a new pair of Ugg boots because my old ones are getting too small for me. The last thing I would like is a new sleeping bag because my other one is too small onme because I got it when I was little. My dog Lucky would like a big squeeze toy.
Your friend and biggest fan

Dear Santa:
I have been good this year. This year for Christmas I would like a glow-in-the-dark racetrack, legos, a new lunchbox, a fold-out fire truck playset. Thank you.

Dear Santa:
All I want for Christmas is a war-free world. Whenever I hear about wars on the news I feel so sad. Also I want my family to have a happy holiday and to get everything they wanted. I’ve seen this cool cake pop maker and I think that would be fun to have. Hope you have a merry Christmas!!
Love,
Claire DesBaillets
PS: Tell Mrs. Claus that I hope she will have a merry Christmas, too.
Dear Santa Claus:
Your deer are magic! Can you give me a crazy spin? Are you tired? Do you have helpers? Are you magic? Santa, what color are your helpers? Do your deer have red noses? Can you give me a Battle Robot? Is your wife ok? Do you have sons? Was I being bad or good this year?
From,
Dillon Nyberg (7)
Dear Santa,
May you give me a launcher and a candy machine and an xBox? Is it true your elves have pointed ears? You are my favorite. You smell like gingerbread men. What are the reindeer’s names? Can you give me a real stocking and a gingerbread man? Can you give me a dinosaur that grows?
Love,
Ricky Lucero Castelan (7)
Dear Santa,
How are you? Do you get cold when you are working? I like your clothes. I want a Wii with the new Super Mario 3D-land. I like learning.
Love,

Dear Santa,
How many miles per hour do you go? I love you, Santa. May I get a building book because I love building stuff. I deserve it because I help cook dinner. I live at 56 Mono Street in Mammoth Lakes. Christmas is my favorite holiday. How are your elves at the North Pole?
Love,
