Move the draft back to April, please

The NFL draft still hasn’t happened. And I am tired of hearing about it. And I LOVE the NFL draft.

The most disturbing thing about it to me is that these so-called draft experts have had Mock Draft after Mock Draft and named them Mock Draft 1.0, 2.0, 3.0. IF you are a draft expert, you shouldn’t need to keep changing your damn mind. The fact that you do indicates you don’t know what the hell you are talking about.

Then I saw where you can only see McShay and Kiper’s full mock drafts if you are an “ESPN Insider.” You have to pay for that? Who in their right mind would pay money to see McShay and Kiper’s mock drafts that change every week? How stupid are you to pay for that. Your own team GMs don’t know what they are doing but Kiper and McShay do? If you pay for that … yes, be offended. You’re f’ing stupid.

Todd McShay said the other day that the Steelers should draft Eric Ebron, TE from North Carolina. Really? Eric Ebron is a TE that cannot block and admitted as much, but McShay says the Steelers should draft him. What would the Steelers – a team that wants to run the ball and doesn’t throw the ball to the TE that much – need with a TE that cannot block.McShay should have his ass kicked and be banned from ever using the term draft expert. Moron.

I have seen Kiper give the Steelers four different players in mock drafts. I suppose you keep creating mock drafts and tossing out names so when the draft comes and one of the names is selected … see, I was right!

EVERYONE ON THE NFL NETWORK is a turd except Rod Woodson. He is a great television analyst. Screw the rest.

Tidbits

Ray Horton, hired in January as the Defensive Coordinator of the Tennessee Titans, has braids and that prevents owners from taking him seriously for NFL head coaching jobs. Cuz his hair is unprofessional. Yet, Thomas Dimitroff is the GM of the Falcons while wearing a Billy Idol punk style haircut. Hmm. The only difference between the two of them is their skin color. Don’t kid yourself.

Speaking of the Falcons, they traded away a bunch of picks for Julio Jones a couple years ago and erebody (yes, that is Lil Wayne’s version of Everybody) said it was a great idea. Then everyone watched as the Falcons defense deteriorated because they had no depth. So this year all the genius experts are saying the Falcons should do the same thing again to move up and get South Carolina’s Jadeveon Clowney. Really? They were 4-12 last year but they are one player away? If you believe that you need your head examined.

San Diego State RB Adam Muema left the NFL scouting combine because GOD told him to. GOD told him his dream of playing for the Seahawks would be realized because the ‘Hawks were going to draft him anyway. Does GOD have white hair and go by the pseudonym Pete Carroll?

Speaking of NFL football character, it seems Jim Harbaugh will soon be falling off his high horse. He has dogged other teams for not doing things the “RIGHT WAY.” Now he is harboring more criminals on the SF 49ers than Alcatraz ever did.

A sad commentary about America: Darren Sharper – serial rapist, Ray Rice Knocked his wife out in an elevator then dragged her around like a rag doll, Aldon Smith arrested for a multitude of s&*t including a bomb threat at an airport, Richie Incognito and Riley Cooper calling everybody the ‘n’ word … and they are all accepted more in a locker room than a gay football player named Michael Sam with no character or criminal issues. Front offices are apparently more worried about how Michael Sam will fit into a locker room than the various rapists, bigots, wannabe terrorists and wife beaters. This country’s nuts.

Draft Notes

Johnny Manziel. If you take him in the first round you will be sorry. I hear people trying to compare him to Russell Wilson or Drew Brees. The only thing he has in common with them is being short. Brees and Wilson are elite leaders and high character people. They are cerebral and steady influences who are great representatives for your franchise. That is what you NEED in a QB. Johnny is fine for college with younger idiots to lead. He is too much of a hothead and a showoff to lead an NFL franchise. He is NOT Brees or Wilson. Now I might risk a 3rd round pick and see if he can develop, but I ain’t turning over a $600 million franchise to his punk ass. \

The devaluation of RBs is getting insane. I agree they shouldn’t have been drafted so high for so many years, but low in the first round is a good place for a versatile RB who can run and catch. They will creep back up soon into the lower half of the first round.

Florida State WR Kelvin Benjamin. You would  have to be out of your mind to draft him. He is 6’5” now and 240 pounds. And he isn’t that fast. In a year and a half you’ll have to reposition him as a TE.

These QBs in the first round: Manziell, Derek Carr, Bortles … don’t do it for met. Meanwhile, I like Teddy Bridgewater and can’t see why his stock is falling.

The first few picks …

Houston Texans: select Jadeveon Clowney. Doesn’t make sense not to. He is the best player in the draft. I honestly think they should trade the pick to any team willing to do it, but at the same time I don’t think another team should be dumb enough to trade away the picks necessary to move up.

St. Louis Rams: Sammy Watkins, WR. Get an offensive weapon.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Khalil Mack LB. They suck on defense. Across the board. That said, I have a bad feeling about Mack because his description sounds A LOT like the way Aaron Curry was described a few years ago. The Jags need a QB and a WR. They can get a QB in the second round by taking Aaron Murray of Georgia . He will be a steal.

Cleveland Browns: Mike Evans WR. They need another WR and they need a QB. I insist none of these QBs is worth taking this high. Mike Evans won’t last past the top 7 or 8 so get him now. The Browns still have another first round pick so I don’t recommend trading down.

Oakland Raiders: Why they couldn’t keep Terrelle Pryor as a playmaker on their team is a mystery to me. They don’t know what they are doing. That said, with this pick they need to get back to basics. Their needs are too many to list. Greg Robinson OL

San Diego Chargers: If they are smart, they will take Jason Verrett CB. He is a monster and  they are weak at CB. Playing Manning twice a year they have to have CBs.

49ers: They need to draft some more law enforcement officials to police their crime-ridden locker room. They are in dire need of CB and WRs, but by the time they draft, the elite CBs will be gone so they should take WR Cody Latimer. Big, fast, good hands … everything the Niner receivers are not.
