It’s time again for the Mammoth Fall Century and Gran Fondo, set to take place Saturday, September 6 beginning at 7 a.m. Above, riders from last year’s race power through the strenuous 102-mile course, which gains 6,879 feet, traveling from Mammoth through Benton, up to Lee Vining, and back.

The event also offers new medio (70 mile) and piccolo (42 mile) riding options. Mammoth Fall Century and Gran Fondo Marketing Director Randy Fendon reported that almost 1,500 riders are registered for the event.

All rides begin and end in the Village, with an after-ride buffet meal, entertainment and the Mammoth Fall Century and Gran Fondo Expo.
