Letters to the Editor

Thanks to Ski Patrol, EMS, Hospital
Dear Editor:
After my daughter Sierra had an accident at the ski area this past Friday – I am very thankful to the Ski Patrol staff, namely Scott Quirsfeld, and Shane (off duty June mtn ski patrol) who carefully responded and got her to the waiting ambulance.
Once in ER it was determined after x-rays that Sierra had fractured 5 ribs and had collapsed her left lung. Both Dr. Kyle Howell and Dr. Fru Bahiraei were on duty,. They and the nursing staff provided the most professional and talented care one can only hope for. She also fractured her elbow and Dr. Brian Gilmer, was able to determine she could wait to have surgery after she was stable from the now deflated lung.
In such a small town as Mammoth, we are truly blessed to have such caring and talented health care professionals. I THANK all the above individuals and the ambulance staff for taking such care in helping Sierra to the Mammoth Hospital and to a speedy recovery.
A very Thankful Father,
Shawn Wilders
