We have received many letters on behalf of Santa, and summarily forwarded them to the North Pole. included below are snippets from a few of our favorites. We will include a second batch of letters next week.

The four letters you read comprise our gift certificate winners. Their names will be on a Master Santa Bonus List at the Booky Joint. Gift certificates are $25 each. Congratulations.

I applaud winner #1 for audaciousness.

robotedit webDear Santa,

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. I hope you and Mrs. Claus are well. May I please have the following for Xmas.

#1. Robot. Please see the attached picture I drew.

I have been mostly good, especially towards my brother.

-Christoper Kai

The second winners split their certificate – the Altamirano sisters, who win points for frank assessment of their own behavior.

Dear Santa:

I have been good most of the time.

Here is my Christmas wish list.

A Hello Kitty piano

Hungry Hungry Hippos

Monster High hair shop

Little Life Pets

Hideaway Husky Penguin

Love,

Hailey Altamirano (5)

Dear Santa,

I know I have not been very good. But I hope you can forgive me. This is my wish list for Christmas

Darn Yarn by Fashion Angels

Baking oven

Glitzy globes

Best sister necklace

Merry Christmas,

Ashley Altamirano (7)

Our third winner gets points for thinking of others as well as himself.

Dear Santa,

For Christmas I want a new game for my 3DS. Some new clothes for my little brother. I want a pro scooter. I want my aunt to get new boots. My mom wants a new phone. Some knee pads and elbow pads for my skateboard and bike and a helmet too. I have good grades. I help my mom a lot too.

Please and thank you Santa

-Reynaldo Reyes   Bishop

Our fourth winner clearly needs new cleats so he can be as fast and sneaky as Santa.

Dear Santa,

How are you doing? You are so fast and you are sneaky. And I would like CR7 cleats . I would like thecleats because they are cool and awesome.

-Love,

Eric Martinez

Now  a quick little word from our sponsor, the Booky Joint. I cornered Dave Leonard earlier this week to ask him what some of the hot items are for this holiday season.

Tons of new Legos. Hobbit Legos.

Frozen pillow pets

Poucheez – the latest cute thing from pillow pets.

Snap Circuits. “My son [8 years old] came home raving about it,” said Leonard. They’re perfect for kids who like building things. Circuit boards without the soldering.

Hugely popular are the “Minecraft” books, an offshoot of the video games. They’re basically players guides to help master the games.

Plenty of Melissa and Doug, including a wooden multi-craft loom and “puffy” stickers.

There’s a particularly cool Geroge R.R. Martin $50 coffetable-type book with incredible artwork for Game of Thrones fans.

For adults who enjoy reading Sheet personals, try “Cards Against Humanity” – self-described as a party game for horrible people.
