Tannenbaum Classic goes off without a hitch
After a fortuitous snow storm, racers turned up in droves for the annual Tannenbaum Classic race on December 14 at Tamarack Lodge.
The event serves as a fundraiser for Eastern Sierra Nordic Ski Association, whose mission is to promote cross country skiing and biathlon in the Eastern Sierra, encouraging the development of responsible and self-motivated skiers by providing the support required to assist each athlete to ski and race to the best of their abilities.
First place in the Adult 10K Calssic went to Trace Calvin (36:28) bib 24; second to Connor Kusumoto (37:36) in bib 18, and third to Calvin Forsythe (38:35) in bib 8.
In the overall 3K Junior race, first went to Jared Mahler (15:06), second to Alexia Craven (15:25), and third to Sophia McKee (16:44).
Olivia Karch in bib 200, took second place in the U8 3K Junior Classic.
Family members also participated in a Family Relay Race, celebrating their good time at the finish line.
