Will Mono County now be confronted with a cowsing shortage as well?

 Long Valley ranchers may have protections LADWP doesn’t want to hear about 

From the people that put the “Dry” in Owens Dry Lake, comes a plan to dry up Long Valley north of Crowley Lake by turning off the tap of irrigation water to rancher lessees in that portion of Mono County.

There may be a way to keep the water flowing through the Inyo County Long-Term Water Agreement, even though the land in question is in Mono County.

Mono County ranchers are also Inyo County ranchers, and Inyo County ranchers are granted protections by the Long-Term Water Agreement against negative impacts like having to reduce herd size because there’s not enough water.
