Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra hosted its 12th annual Operation High Altitude this past week.

It is a week-long program dedicated to hosting Wounded Warriors and provides a plethora of activities for veterans and their families, include camping, swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, biking and climbing.

During the week, the McGee Creek R.V. Park served as Operation headquarters.

Stacie Porter, wife of one of the Warriors, said, “It’s very inclusive. I’m here with my husband and two kids. This is very special because the kids get to hang out with other kids who are children of Wounded Warriors.”

Operation High Altitude visited the North Shore of June Lake for climbing Thursday morning.
