Mammoth at risk if the fan gets covered

On Wednesday June 13, Dana Hoffman, a consultant for Michael Baker International and Mammoth’s Assistant to the Town Manager Pam Kobylarz presented a draft of the multi-jurisdictional hazard mitigation plan and the Community Wildfire Protection Plan to the Mammoth Lakes Planning and Economic Development Commission.

These plans allow state and federal organizations like the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to provide grants and other relief services should a natural disaster strike.
