BOO-HOO? NO, BOOHER

The sweetest word in a taxeater’s vocabulary: leave. Administrative leave. Leave of absence. Leave you to love me (oh wait, that’s a Selena Gomez song – blame my daughter’s taste in music for that).

*Pike now informs me it’s Lose You to Love Me, but I’m on a roll, so screw Pike.

Leave is when you get paid for not working, and everyone knows you’re not coming back, even if they’re too chickenshit/bound by libtard employment law to say.

Mono County CAO Bob Lawton is the latest to earn such a designation. He’s gone on a leave of absence.

Am I surprised? You better Belize it! Although I have no idea if he’s in Belize or not.

Or if he’s Bora’d Bora’d out of  his mind.

Mono County Counsel Stacey Simon is serving as Interim CAO in his absence.

Good news for Mono County is that a new Assistant CAO, Mary Booher, was scheduled to begin work Thursday and may soon slide into an Interim CAO designation.

Booher worked for Mono County for several years before moving onto Sonoma County, where she served as Assistant CAO.

Mono County Supervisor Lynda Salcido said “May’s knowledge of the county and experience in the CAO role will be most helpful.”

Three Mono County Supervisors are out of town this week in Washington, D.C., so at least we now know how many Supervisors it takes to change a light bulb.

As one wiseass observer pointed out, “Going to D.C. is way more fun than dealing with HR and management issues at the county.”
