On Wednesday, Mammoth Lakes Tourism announced the appointment of Brian Wright as its new President and CEO. 

Wright succeeds former President and CEO John Urdi. 

“After a comprehensive search process, we were blown away by the level of talent and interest in promoting and protecting Mammoth Lakes,” said Pat Foster, Chairman of the Board of Directors. “Brian not only checked every box but exceeded our expectations. His strategic vision, industry relationships, global perspective, local understanding, and genuine enthusiasm for the role set him apart.”  

Wright brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across destination marketing, tourism, and the outdoor industry, including roles at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Yosemite National Park, Visit California, Santa Monica Travel & Tourism, and yes, Mammoth Lakes Tourism. 

He previously worked for MLT as Director of Marketing from 2021-2023.
