The deepest cut-let

Jay Cutler was benched today. About time. He has a bad attitude, bad mechanics and bad career statistics. The best part: He was benched for Jimmy Claussen. That’s like losing your wife to Pee Wee Herman. True to form the experts still think Cutler can play. Peter King was on the radio saying the Titans should trade a 2nd round pick for Cutler. Seriously?

Ray McDonald was released by the 49ers after exhibiting a pattern of behavior that is detrimental … blah blah blah. Funny that pattern only became disturbing to them after they missed the playoffs. Before that they were fine with playing him and Aldon Smith. Hypocrites.

The picks:

Eagles vs Washington. Not sure why Eagles Coach Chip Kelly is still seen as genius, but he’ll be regarded as one for at least another week as the Eagles whip the hapless ‘Skins 30-13. Redskin Coach Jay Gruden is the least media-savvy coach in the league. Gruden suggests “Anything I say about QB Robert Griffin will be ‘twisted.’” What a tool. There is no earthly way his past comments were “taken out of context.” He needs to own his own s%$t.

Chargers 30-17 over the 49ers. Two teams with two dumbass QBs headed soon to a golf course near you.

Browns vs Panthers. Did you see that performance the little QB for the Browns turned in last week? Talk about a dose of humility. To see him completely fall apart like that was quite enjoyable. But even more fun was seeing his face, how embarrassed and lost he was. It was the best thing that could have happened to him. He showed you everything you need to know about him:

He is small and not built for the NFL. He got dragged and knocked down by guys with one hand.

He doesn’t have the arm strength for the NFL.

His style of play isn’t suited for the NFL. His game is random chaos and scrambling and not conducive to the NFL because he is …  SLOW. The defensive linemen and linebackers run faster than he does.

So to sum it up, the little man is slow, small, has no arm and is about as mature as my 13-year old son.

Tidbit. In my fantasy league a team in the playoffs … started Manziel. I could not stop laughing. He lost, of course.

Oh yeah, Panthers 20 Browns 13.

Lions beat Bears 20-16.

Ravens beat Titans 24-13.

Falcons vs Saints. This game based on their records shouldn’t mean anything. But these teams with 5 and 6 wins are still in the playoff hunt? Miserable. Saints won last week … which means they should suck this week. Falcons in an “upset” 30-27.

Pats vs Jets. This last few weeks is the quietest Rex Ryan has been since he made that video of him with his wife’s foot in his fat mouth. The Jets play the Pats tough sometimes, but not this week. Pats 43-13, because they’ll want to rub this one in and give Rex a hearty farewell.

Chiefs vs Steelers. Steelers should win, so they will lose 23-13. The Chiefs with that sorry ass offense shouldn’t score that many points on anyone. Alex Smith still hasn’t thrown a TD pass to a WR all season. That changes this week as every WR on the Chiefs roster, and they are a sorry bunch, lick their lips at the prospect of lining up out wide and seeing Steeler CB Ike “The WR Legend Maker” Taylor across from them.

Packers vs Bucs. It was nice to see that smirk wiped off Aaron Rodgers’ face last week by the Bills. They won’t fall asleep on this one. Pack 35-20.

Colts vs Cowboys. The Cowboys are 7-0 on the road and 3-4 on the road??  How does that happen?? Cowboys win this one at home … while DeMarco Murray plays with a broken bone in his hand. He had surgery Monday. Tell me more about that league-wide policy regarding player safety …

‘Hawks beats Cards 20-9. I would love to pick the Cards, but their QB situation is a disaster right now. Before I get to the actual game news, Kurt Warner said he was “considering coming back to the Cards.” At first, I thought he meant as a consultant or something but he meant to play QB! Then I got irritated. Because he was only a good QB for a few years in the NFL. He had as many terrible years and benchings as good years. He has the nerve to think he is capable of playing again?

Broncos vs Bengals. The Manning train is on a familiar route. He is fading down the stretch. But the Broncos will probably sneak by the inconsistent Bengals this week 24-20.

Finally … It is apparent the college game is killing QBs. Their offenses don’t resemble anything that looks like NFL offenses. If I were an NFL GM, I wouldn’t draft any of these spread offense QBs in the first round. They are unproven in NFL offenses. Someone is going to take the Oregon QB, Mariota, in the first round because he is “smart and a good kid.” But he runs a system offense that has produced Joey Harrington, Kellen Clemens, Dennis Dixon … you get my drift.
