Cortez rides scholarship wave

Congratulations to Jose Cortez (second from left) for graduating from Mammoth Lakes High School. Not only did Cortez graduate, but during his junior year he tied the national record for kickoff returns for touchdowns in a season. In recognition of his achievements, Wave Rave owner Steve Klassen awarded Cortez a $5,000 scholarship to a college of his choice. Cortez has been a long time employee of Wave Rave and the staff wishes him the best of luck in his future pursuits. (Submitted Photo)
