The Mono County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of a Hidden Hills woman who died while snowboarding on Mammoth Mountain on Saturday, February 27, 2010.  Erica Patterson was reported missing to Mammoth Mountain Ski Patrol at 1:30 p.m. by her family.  Ski Patrol conducted a search around the Chair 12 area and found Patterson at 4:25 p.m. approximately 50 yards off the side of the run known as the Secret Spot in a tree well.  There were no signs of trauma.  Ski patrollers initiated CPR and made every effort to revive the victim on scene. Resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful and Mono County Paramedics pronounced Patterson deceased.  The cause of death and circumstances are currently under investigation. —Jennifer Hansen, Public Information Officer, Mono County Sheriff’s Dept.
