Sheriff’s Dept. investigates snowboarder death

The Mono County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of a Mammoth Lakes resident who died at Mammoth Hospital following a snowboard accident. On March 12, Joshua Hernandez was involved in a high speed snowboard collision with a fence while snowboarding on Mammoth Mountain.  Hernandez returned home after the incident and was later transported to Mammoth Hospital. Hernandez went into cardiac arrest at the hospital where life saving efforts were unsuccessful. –Press Release, Mono County Sheriff’s Office
