PRIORITY 1: HOSPITALITY
The Mammoth Lakes Chamber is resuming development of Priority One: hospitality training for winter seasonal workers. The first workshop will be held Friday, May 21, from 4-6 p.m. in the Mammoth Lakes Community Center on Forest Trail, across from the Village. ES Academy Fundraiser
The Eastern Sierra Academy will hold a fund-raising rummage sale at the Shell station on the north side of Bridgeport, on Saturday, May 29, and Sunday, May 30 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

ARCHER FAMILY benefit
Stellar Brew hosts a pancake breakfast “Cash for the Casket” benefit all day May 23. All proceeds go to the Archer family, which is struggling to cover funeral costs for their mother, who recently passed away.
ESUSD PUBLIC HEARING
A Public Hearing regarding the adoption of the 2010/2011 Budget will be held on Tuesday, June 1, at approximately 1 p.m. at Eastern Sierra Unified School District, 231 Kingsley Street in Bridgeport. Copies of the Budget will be available for examination prior to the meeting and comments by the public will be heard during the meeting. If no public comments are received during the time set for this purpose, the Board may take action on the other items on the agenda before closing the public hearing.
How to “Fix-A-FlAT”
Join Brian at Brian’s Bicycles for “Changing a Flat” Thursday, May 27, at 5 p.m. Bring your bike and tools for hands on practice changing a flat! No tools? Brian’s got flat kits for sale and will demonstrate as well for your viewing pleasure! FOOD PANTRY OPEN
The Salvation Army and Church on the Mountain have opened a food pantry in Mammoth to serve those in need of food assistance. The food pantry has a well-stocked facility at 220 Sierra Manor Rd., adjacent to Higerd Plumbing, to provide assistance and accept food and cash donations. Hours of operation: Monday/Wednesday 2-5 p.m. and Saturday noon-4 p.m.
