June Mountain opens with $5 lift tickets and winter air service to SFO takes flight
December 16 marks a double dose of fun as June Mountain opens its lifts with $5 lift tickets to celebrate 50 years of operation, and winter air service to San Francisco begins at the Mammoth Yosemite Airport.
June Mountain has a base of 2-3 feet of snow and just recently received 4 more inches from this week’s storm. More snow is predicted for the weekend. For more information on June Mountain visit www.junemountain.com.
Winter air service to San Francisco begins on the 16th as well and Mammoth Mountain will be celebrating the arrival of United Airlines first flight at 4:56 p.m. Woolly will be arriving at 4:45 p.m. and MMSA CEO Rusty Gregory as well as representatives from United will be giving speeches and a champagne toast at 5:15 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.
