The 2011 Burton Am Series is THE regional amateur snowboarding competition series and it’s making it stop in Mammoth Lakes this weekend. Open to all amateur competitors of all ages, the Am Series features men’s and women’s Slopestyle and Halfpipe competitions. But, best of all, not only can you win some serious cash at each event ($7,000 per stop), the first place winners (men and women) in each discipline will receive a wild card entry into the US Open Snowboarding Championships at Stratton Mountain, Vt. this March 7-13.
