Strut your stuff
Get up and dance, and share your talent with the community when Le Centre holds dance auditions this Saturday, March 12 at 6 p.m., and Sunday, March 13 at 4 p.m. for a special performance scheduled for the first weekend in June at Edison Hall. Open to all styles of dance talent — ballet, hip hop, jazz, modern or tap. Dress comfortably. Auditions start on-time, so be there a few minutes early. Forest service job fair
The Inyo National Forest will sponsor a Job Fair this Saturday for local people interested in getting a temporary job with the Forest Service. The Job Fair will be held on Saturday, March 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Forest Service/BLM Interagency Building, behind the DMV, on West Line St. in Bishop.
Temporary jobs are available in such fields as firefighting, trail maintenance and engineering.

ESWC volunteer day
Here’s your chance to help injured or orphaned wildlife. Eastern Sierra Wildlife Care’s Animal Care Team volunteers provide care for wildlife that fall out of nests, get hit by cars and caught by wildcats.
Find out about the ESWC and its membership during a New Volunteer Orientation on Sunday, March 27, from l-3 p.m. in the Union Bank meeting room on Main Street in Bishop. Required Animal Care Training Classes will be held later for those interested in a spot on the Team. Info: Call 760.872.1487.

At the Bistro at Snowcreek Athletic Club: it’s Happy Hour all night, with Corned Beef & Cabbage and more!
At Rafters: March 17-19 starting at 9 p.m. dig the sounds of the Shari Puorto Band, 2010 Los Angeles Music Award Winner Americana, Blues, Roots Song of the Year.
Also on March 17: Clocktower has $1.50 green beer, Guinness, Harp and Murphy’s, food and drink specials all day, free t-shirts to the first 100 patrons, and awesome corned beef & cabbage!

Youth Sports funding
The 2011 Mammoth Lakes Youth Sports Funding process opened Tuesday, March 1, and closes Friday, March 25. The Town of Mammoth Lakes awards $32,000 annually to youth sporting organizations to help provide additional funding to organized, non-profit youth sports programs or activities that may be in need to continue operations.
