Slide along with Disabled Sport Eastern Sierra
Support Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra by helping prove what they already know: that anyone, no matter what their disability can ski, or SLIDE, on the mountain.
The Slide-A-Thon is an exciting event that showcases what DSES does every day. As an adaptive ski school they teach people with any disability how to ski, snowboard or the adaptive equivalent of choice: mono-ski, bi-ski, ski bike, and more. They are proud to boast that they have never turned anyone away due to their disability or inability to pay.
Slide-A-Thon is a great way to support this organization. Put a team together to help raise money, increase disability awareness and promote inclusion through sports. Participate in a variety of fun challenges that showcase what this organization does.
This year’s Slide-A-Thon takes place on April 9, but you can get involved now.
Here’s how you do it:
- Put together a team of five and raise a minimum of $200 each = $1000
- Register on the DSES website and start a Firstgiving page to help raise funds
- Join the fun on April 9 for exciting activities; sign up for the challenges of your choice and check out the demo tent where you can see and test ride the adaptive equipment
