“Coming into Your Power” Weekend Workshop
WHAT: A transformative weekend, guided by Shaman Durek and intuitive Lauren Sperber, designed to help attendees break through personal limitations, communicate with spirit guides and live life to the fullest.
WHO: Shaman Durek is a Los Angeles-based spiritual guide and gifted healer. As a Shaman, Durek acts as a bridge between the spiritual and physical planes, and applies ancient spiritual wisdom, coupled with words of devoted study and practice, to help bring success, happiness and healing into clients’ lives. Lauren Sperber is an intuitive who works with tarot cards and spiritual guidance to help clients break through personal blocks and obstacles, in order to obtain peace of mind and happiness.
The workshop is presented by Healing Center of the Sierra, a group formed to provide affordable access to alternative healing therapies, acupuncture, reiki, shamanic healing, and neurofeedback.
WHEN: Friday, April 22 through Sunday, April 24.

Cerro Coso Admissions Open House
Attention to all those interested in higher education! Cerro Coso Bishop and Mammoth Lakes will be holding an Admissions Open House and FAFSA Workshop for prospective and continuing students and for the community as a whole.
Cerro Coso counselors, financial aid and registration professionals will be on site to assist with general information, admissions and updates, assessment testing, learning resource center information, counseling and educational plans, registration, bookstore information, veteran’s services, financial aid and scholarships, housing and student life.
The Bishop Admissions Open House will be held at the Cerro Coso Bishop campus at 4090 West Line Street on Monday, April 25 for drop-in assistance between noon and 6 p.m. The FAFSA workshop for the Bishop campus will be held from 6-7 p.m.
The Mammoth Admissions Open House will be held at the Cerro Coso Mammoth campus at 101 College Parkway on Tuesday, April 26 for drop-in assistance between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The FAFSA workshop for the Mammoth campus will be held from 4-5 p.m.
