Easter-n Sierra bunny fun!
Easter fun hops into the Eastern Sierra. Join in the fun at any and all of the following venues!
Join the Mammoth Lakes Easter Bunny and Town’s Recreation Department staff for a fun, festive and free Mammoth Lakes Community Easter Egg Hunt on Friday, April 22, at the Mammoth Lakes Community Center. Activities begin promptly at 3 p.m.; don’t be late! Bring your own basket to fill with eggs and goodies, as prize eggs will be hidden for each age group.
On Easter Sunday, make sure to be in the Village at Mammoth. Meet the Easter Bunny starting at 9 a.m. and get ready to hunt for eggs at 10 a.m.
Then, make your way up to Canyon Lodge for an exclusive Easter Egg hunt with Woolly starting at noon!
Over in the Loop, June Mountain also has an egg hunt beginning at 12:45 p.m.
Sierra Valley workshops
The Town continues moving forward with work on the Sierra Valley District Plan, and coming up you get to weigh in during a series of Public Workshops.
During the next Sierra Valley public meetings, the Town plans to look at existing conditions in greater depth and begin to identify options for the neighborhood. The first meeting will be held in English, and the second in both English and Spanish; both meetings will cover the same topics.
English only meeting:
Wednesday, April 27, from 5-7 p.m. in Suite Z, Minaret Village Shopping Center.
English and Spanish meeting:
Thursday, April 28, from 5-7 p.m. in the Mammoth Lakes Library, 400 Sierra Park Rd.

Edison Theatre rings in spring with an evening of hilarious improv by no less than the Los Angeles’ Spolin Players next Saturday, April 30, at 7 p.m.
The Spolin Players feature working character actors from acclaimed TV series, movies and animated blockbusters. Cast members include: Gail Mathius (“Saturday Night Live”), Danny Mann (“Up”), David McCharen (“The Lion King”), Donna Dubain (“I Don’t Know Jack”), Pat Musick (“An American Tale”), Jonathon Schmock (“Real Time with Bill Maher”), John Mariano (“The Young and the Restless”) and Anna Mathias (“Rain Man”).
Spolin alumni include top comedy veterans such as Dan Castellaneta (“The Simpsons”) and Edie McClurg (“Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”)!
Mammoth Lakes Repertory Theatre Director Shira Dubrovner promises a fantastic night of unscripted theater games, music, laughter and family fun.

PH395 kids workshop
Playhouse 395 is now taking applications for its Summer Children’s Theatre Workshop. The series will have two sessions: June 20-July 1 and July 11-22. Both sessions meet at the Bishop High School Auditorium. Kids ages 7 to 13 learn about set design, costumes, make up, publicity, and acting. At the end of each session, they will be onstage sharing the magic of “Willy Wonka Kids,” the story of a poor boy on a fantastic voyage through Wonka’s magical sweets factory!
