Northstar leads to Rafters
“We’re a rootsy folk-rock band based out of L.A. that’s consistently on the road 3 weeks out of every month,” said Matt Szlachetka, guitarist, singer-wongwriter and producer with The Northstar Session. This month, that road led to Mammoth for four dates, including recent stops at the Tap and Rafters.
Touring behind their latest album, “Late Bloomer” (released April 2, 2011), The Northstar Session has been seen in top LA music venues, and also on the NBC series “Parenthood,” playing the single “You Come Up Like A Rose” from “Winter Collection.” You can see the scene on the band’s website (www.thenorthstarsession.com) in the “gallery.” The Northstar Session plays two more evenings in Mammoth at Rafters on Aug. 22 and 23 starting at 5 p.m. and listen to them on iTunes.
