A new fall lecture series, hosted by the Owens Valley Radio Observatory and Cerro Coso Community College, kicks off Sept. 29 at 7 p.m. The lecture series is free and talks will focus on astronomy. The series is presented by researchers working at OVRO and using radio astronomy to explore issues such as star formation, the origins of the solar systems, and determining the nature of dark energy.

Stephen Muchovej presents “The Universe in Your Backyard,” on the 29th. Remaining lectures will take place on Oct. 13, Nov. 10 and Dec. 8. Each lecture will last approximately one hour and will take place at Cerro Coso’s Bishop Campus, room 176.

For more information call OVRO at 760-938-2075 ext. 130 or visit www.ovro.caltech.edu.
