Vivien Gordon, 48, of Marshall North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011.
A native of Santa Barbara, CA, Vivien was a graduate of Long Beach State University with a B.A. in Theatre Arts. Vivien lived in Mammoth Lakes during the early 90’s. She worked in food and beverage and as a ski instructor at Mammoth Mountain as well as at Roberto’s as a food server. While living in Mammoth, Vivien’s sparkling personality and sense of adventure endeared her to a large and diverse circle of friends with whom she enjoyed hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing and skiing. After extensive world travel, Vivien settled in North Carolina with her husband Dane. Most recently she was co-owner, with her husband, of Freckle Farm Landscaping.
Vivien is survived by her husband Dane; a daughter Abigael Gordon; a son John Thomas Gordon and by her father Michael Farnsworth, mother Sharon Hartwell Ellano as well as numerous other family members.
A gathering of friends and family to remember and celebrate Vivien’s life will be held next summer.
