Crestview Rest Area to open

District 9 Director Tom Hallenbeck announced on March 8 that the Crestview Safety Roadside Rest Area, located on U.S. 395 eight miles south of the junction of State Route 158 (June Lake) and approximately 7 miles north of Mammoth Lakes, Calif will open on March 9.

Crestview Rest Area is one of three rest areas located in the Eastern Sierra owned and maintained by Caltrans and serviced under contract by Desert Area Resources and Training.

Crestview Safety Roadside Rest Area was closed on Nov. 30, 2011 due to winter conditions. –Caltrans
