A rally/walk to save June Mountain was held on Sunday, June 24 in Mammoth Lakes following the announcement on June 21 that Mammoth Mountain Ski Area was closing June for the summer as well as the 2012/13 winter.

According to one attendee, “It was a great turn out with LOTS of positive response from locals and tourists alike.”

The same attendee stated that the group plans to reconvene next Sunday, July 1, with what they hope will be an even bigger presence. To show your support, meet at the Rite Aid parking lot at 10 a.m. and plan to walk the streets of Mammoth and rally to save June.
