Lisa Graef was overwhelmed by the show of support from the local community at the Tuesday night fundraiser for her son, Matt. “I’m still blown away by the generosity of the entire town,” Lisa said on Wednesday. “It was the most amazing thing in the whole wide world.” The entire family, including Matt who is battling cancer, was able to attend the fundraiser held at Z Ranch in Mammoth. “We are so thankful,” Lisa continued. “The effort on everyone’s part was absolutely amazing. Ed and I couldn’t do this without help.” The event included a raffle, a silent auction, and food with the proceeds going to benefit the Graef family.

Late on Thursday, Lisa had a tentative tally of the amount raised.
“The money I collected from the Benefit was $9,500 – we will still get a donation from food and drink from the restaurant tab – I would say the total tally will come to around $9,800,” Lisa said via email.
